Shooting slow motion can also cause flicker, as the frame rate of the video is so fast it picks up the flucuations in brightness of lights. This is particularly true of the cheaper lights found at most sporting venues, so flicker while shooting slow motion video of sports is a particular problem. Flicker Free does a great job at stabilizing the luminence and removing the flicker problems, resulting in beautiful sports footage.

With aerial drones, if the mounted camera is shot at a particular angle with regard to the sun, the propellers on the drone can cast shadows on the lens that create a unique and very annoying banding flicker.
