Go beyond Automated Transcriptions

Transcribing media is just one of the many tools of Transcriptive Rough Cutter. Fully integrated with Premiere Pro, the panel offers a transcript-based video editing workflow that uses transcripts from any source to speed up your work and increase collaboration. Give it a try to see how your transcripts can change the way you cut video!

Sync your transcripts while offline

After imported into Rough Cutter, transcripts in English can be synced to a clip in Premiere for free, without the need for an internet connection. Simply click on the Transcribe button and see Transcriptive give every word on your transcript a timecode!

The ability to sync existing transcripts is great if you prefer to get transcripts from third-party companies, but still want to take advantage of the text-based editing, search, collaboration and captioning tools transcriptive offers.

Edit video through text

Use our built-in text editor to make changes on your transcript and Transcriptive will automatically create an edited text-based sequence in Premiere. The edits in the video will match the edits in the transcript, creating an instant rough cut

Transcriptive for Premiere Pro also allows users to set in and out points on transcripts, insert selected soundbites into a timeline and quickly auto-generate a new transcript based on the edits. Scan your transcribed text for interesting soundbites, insert “In” and “Out” points in your transcript, and use a shortcut to insert the media into a sequence!

Collaborate in Premiere or Online

Share your work with other Premiere users or collaborate with teammates and clients working outside of the Adobe app. Users can send a project to an editor or upload transcripts and media to a web app account. Receive new transcriptions and edits made online without leaving Premiere Pro or Transcriptive.com, take advantage of the Comment and Strikethrough features to share notes, and assemble collaborative rough cuts in no time.
