ToonIt! Photo is an Aperture plugin that creates beautiful cartoons out of photographs and other still images. These tutorials will get you quickly started with the plugin. Most of the tutorial movies refer to use in Photoshop. Because the plugin opens its own proprietary intrface, the plugin works exactly the same in Apple's Aperture.

Quickstart for ToonIt! Photo.Get started quickly creating gorgeous cartoons in ToonIt. This tutorial goes over the basics of the plugin interface, like the Effects Palette and Style Controls. We explain how to make basic changes to the outlines and color fields that make up the cartoon.

Control the color fields.Cartoon colors are what really sell the ToonIt effect. In this tutorial, we discuss how ToonIt translates your photograph or graphic image into distinct regions of color. We talk about Simplicity and Flantess in the Flat Shaded style, then Strength and Level in the Flat Detailed Style. We also explain No Roto, the Main Blur group and the Outline Blur group.
