About the Preset Manager.

Psunami ships with a number of presets you can use as starting points for your own comps. Presets are premade combinations of Psunami options.

With presets, you get quick access to a sophisticated composition. Presets are also a terrific way to learn Psunami, simply by clicking around its paramters and seeing what changes.

Apply a preset.

It’s easy to apply a Psunami preset. Just choose your preset and click the 'Go!' button to apply.

The Presets panel lets you apply either part or all of a preset. Basically, you can choose a collection of property setting, then choose which properties from that group you want to use.

In the example below, we’ve selected the preset ‘Aurora Borealis’, then turned on/off certain properties. The list at left shows the properties available.

Choosse a preset.

Here's an example of how you can load in a full Psunami Water preset, or simply load various properties. We are using the 'Aurora Borealis' preset in the 'Atmospheric' category.

To begin with, we’ve selected the full preset.

We’ve turned OFF every property but ‘Lights’.

We’ve turned OFF every property but ‘Air Optics’.

All properties are ON except for ‘Camera’ and ‘Waves’.

Save your own presets.

Once you’ve created your own Psunami settings, you can save them for later use. Access the Preset Manager's control panel by hitting the 'Save' button.

Inside the Preset Manager, you can save, copy, rename, and delete your own presets and preset categories. You can also use the Preset Manager to rename and delete the default presets and categories, if so desired.

Where presets live.

When you first install Psunami, it creates a folder in the After Effects plugins folder called ‘PSunami’. Inside you’ll find subfolders of preset categories containing the actual presets.

Your own presets and categories will be saved here as well.
