Beyond water world.

Since Psunami is a true 3D environment, you have the capability to do a lot more than just water. In fact, the scene doesn't have to look anything like liquid. Create a desert with a texture map or some frozen waves! Read on for some of the possibilities.

This project uses two displacement maps and one texture map. One dismap is used for the hills; the other for the swirling sand. Very quickly, we have a swirling sands [play]

Check out this project on our tutorial page.

Here we've applied a green texture map to simulate grass. The hills are shaped with a displacement map. We've also taken advantage of attaching the camera to our surface – using the 'Bobbing Platform' parameter – to create a roving effect. [play]

Similar to our grass movie... just a wee bit chillier. [play]

You're not limited to landscapes either. Here we've extruded a logo (using a grayscale version of it as a dismap) and applied a texture map to the image. [play]

Another cool use is to turn off the raytracer and just render out the 3D grid. Great for creating backgrounds and 'tech' looking effects. [play]
