Easy animation options.

There are many ways to control the animation of your Psunami water scene. Here are some interesting and useful parameters.

Integrate water and sky.

It's pretty easy to add Psunami into a scene. Psunami has a built-in alpha matte for the sky area. If you render only the water in Psunami, that leaves an open area into which you can composite a new sky. If you then load the sky plate as a Texture Map for the water, that will visually integrate the two images.

In the Psunami palette, go to 'Render Options' and select ‘Water Only’.

Time stretch the motion.

'Time Stretch' controls the rate of change in Psunami’s water surface motion. This allows you to create slow motion or time-lapse effects.

As in the real world, Psunami’s waves are result of wind hitting the water. You can affect the speed and energy of those waves by adjusting the 'Wind' properties in the 'Primary Waves' section.

If you need slower or faster wave action, use 'Time Stretch' to control the activity of the water’s surface. A value less than 1.0 will slow down the wave motion..Above 1.0 will increase their speed while still maintaining other characteristics.

Create seamless loops of water.

How can you render seamless loops of Psunami for use as continuously looping backgrounds or texture? Easy! You use the 'Loop Time' parameter.

'Loop Time' will increase your productivity. You can render out a relatively short Psunami clip for a larger production. For instance, use 'Loop Time' to create an ocean that's showing through a window, or as the backdrop to people standing on a boat.
