Microcosm codec is made of an Encoder (compressor) and Decoder (reader). In order to save your file as a Microcosm file, you must own Microcosm.

However, you can use the decoder in the free demo version to open Microcosm compressed files. This is great if you are working with a company that sends you Microcosm compressed files.

A free version of the Microcosm decoder is included in the demo download.

get the free none16 codec

We also have a free codec for you to use. None16 is similar to Microcosm since both are lossless 64-bit compressors. However, the None16 codec doesn't compress file sizes like Microcosm does so its use is more limited.
