Control your creative flare.

Knoll Light Factory is designed to create lens flares and other lighting effects, including lasers, explosions and suns. The package can create many different effects depending upon your desired result and the time you want to put into designing.

Premade or custom light effects.

Lens flares are the result of photographing bright lights. Flares are frequently used to create a special effect. Artists may test a variety of lenses to find a particular look to suit their style or provide a particular effect for a photograph.

Light Factory gives you control over the look of 100's of lighting effects, and further the creative abilities of photographers and designers to enhance existing images or create original works.

Inside Light Factory, you can choose from 19 different flare elements, then layer those elements to create the desired light effect.

The plugin contains controls for applying the premade flares that ship. Alternately, it has a custom flare editor that lets you create and edit your own custom effects.

More than a flare.

The most common use of Light Factory in photography is to enhance lights such as lamps, streetlights, sky elements, or candle flames. However, many designers also use Light Factory to create sparkling or glowing lights from scratch.

Artists are always looking for new creative opportunities. Light Factory offers a great way of painting with light, when you need to add some flare and sparkle to an image.

Almost any real life camera lens can be matched, or the Photoshop filter can generate completely original settings, and save out a preset for later use.

Powerful functions include the ability to obscure the light with a grayscale mask; a real-time interactive preview; and 16-bit support for smoother glows and gradients.
