Digital Anarchy Announces Text Anarchy 2.0 for Simplifying Text Character Animation

Dramatically expanding upon the most popular features of its award-winning Elements of Anarchy: Text Filters, Text Anarchy 2.0 simplifies the process of creating and animating text and increases the creative opportunities for broadcast designers, compositors and typographers.

Text Anarchy 2.0 is composed of eight versatile filters that provide specific methods for producing a wide variety of text effects, ranging from animating set text in motion to individual letters. For instance, some of the filters use particle systems specifically designed for text, while others allow the animation of characters on a letter-by-letter basis or by using paths to control the look and attributes of the text.

The filters within Text Anarchy can also use almost any TrueType or Postscript Type 1 font, which allows designers to expand their repertoire of text effects for creating complex designs faster.

Key features in Text Anarchy 2.0 include:

• Kerning, Tracking and Leading Control allows for precise placement of the text, be it a single word or a lengthy paragraph.
• The Cool Text Filter allows letters to be animated on a letter-by-letter basis. Adding effects like blur, color and scale creates a completely new way of animating text in After Effects.
• Stacking Effects permits multiple effects such as blur, opacity, or rotation to be stacked on top of each other.
• Versatile Paths provides alternatives so paths can be used in new, interesting ways. Text can have different attributes, like font size or color, at different ends of the paths, which also creates text that trails off.
• Random Text is easily generated by particle systems. Words can form out of the random characters, or they can form from word to word.
• Multiple Fonts can be used, switching from one to the other.
• Automatic Text allows text to be generated automatically, making the creation of background elements or textures simple.

Regularly priced at US $149, Text Anarchy 2.0 is now available now for US $129 until April 30, 2003. Owners of Elements of Anarchy: Text can upgrade for $89 until April 30, 2003 ($99 afterwards).
